For those of you with an empty event calendar, we’re here to help you fill it up this week!

Whether you want to ease yourself into the world of races or are looking to step it up and take on more and bigger, we’re sure there’s something coming up locally (and further afield!) to tempt you.

London Duathlon
On Sunday 18th September take on the London Duathlon, where you’ll run, the cycle, then run again (phew!) through our beautiful Richmond Parks. The full duathlon consists of a 10km run, a 44km cycle and finishes with a 5km run, but there are other options ranging from a half duathlon to an ultra version and a team relay duathlon. So no matter what you’re looking for or how much you want to take on, there’s something here for you.

Run Richmond
There are plenty of these events coming up throughout the year and they’re a great way to get yourself active and working up to bigger events. Start off with the 5km and once you’ve mastered that, take on the 10km! You can check out the dates of the events here.

ParkRun Richmond
Every Saturday, at 9am, you can join the ParkRun in Richmond Park. While this is not a big event, its regularity is a bonus. Not only can you get used to preparing for an attending an event, you can also be motivated by the people around you – and by beating your previous week’s time!

Looking to tackle something a little further afield this year?

The Great South Run in Portsmouth in October is a good excuse for a weekend away and the race definitely comes with a view! But if you’re looking for something a little tougher, why not check out Tough Mudder, an intense obstacle course held all over the country!

Let us know if you’re taking on any events this year – we’d love to know when and where!
